The second congress of the” Association des Cornistes de Suisse Romande” will take place in Geneva on March 2 and 3, 2024. For the occasion, the Place-Neuve Music Conservatory will be dedicated to the horn for the weekend.
With the participation of horn teachers from schools and colleges in French-speaking Switzerland, horn players from Geneva professional orchestras, as well as Chilean horn player Matias Piñeira (solo horn from the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra), participants will take part in horns, workshops around the alphorn and hunting horn, master classes, concerts etc.
Two news pieces for horns will be comissioned to the composers Alexandre Mastrangelo and Christophe Sturzenegger.
