Douglas Hill, one of the horn world's most renowned pedagogues, taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1974 to 2011. Hill has served the horn community as a featured artist, lecturer, soloist, chamber musician, clinician, and artist-teacher all over the world, and is famous for his adaptive, student-centered approach to teaching. Professor Hill's books are classics of horn pedagogy, and his playing, compositions, and teaching are aimed at extending students' and colleagues' imaginations.
