I started studying horn in the late 1960's and have played continuously since. My early teachers were Wilke Renwick (Denver Symphony), Jim Keayes (U of Redlands), George Cable and Wendell Hoss (San Diego). While never my primary vocation, I've had decades of experience freelancing professional and amateur theatre and various ensembles,.

I've been teaching private lessons for the past 15 years and coaching high school horn sections for the past 5.

I've been playing musical theatre since the mid 1970's. I perform regularly with the Coastal Communities Concert Band, Moonlight Stage Productions, Pacific Lyric Assn, along with a variety of amateur and youth theatres. I'm a founding member of and performer with Hornswoggle San Diego.

Absent a formal music education, I teach what I was taught as well as what I've learned from 50+ years of real life playing experiences.
