Teaching Experience
Jennifer has been teaching privately on the horn since 1998. She has had the honor of tutoring over 15 beginning and intermediate brass players in her private studio, as well as hundreds of beginning brass, woodwind, and percussion players in bands at Highland Park Middle School, Riverdale Elementary, and Cooper Mountain Elementary. Her students have won auditions for college music scholarships and performing groups such as the Portland Youth Philharmonic. Her students regularly perform in recitals and have received high marks in district and state solo competitions.
Playing Experience
Jennifer has performed on horn and trumpet in a variety of ensembles in the Portland area, including the Portland Youth Philharmonic and the Portland Youth Conservatory Orchestra, as well as the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra at Portland State University. Her current focus is teaching, with a specialty in beginning brass (trumpet, horn, and trombone).
