Wojciech KamionkaWojciech Kamionka is Professor of Horn at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków and was the organizational and artistic director of the 58th International Horn Symposium, “Horn in the City of Kings,” in Kraków in 2026.

Kamionka was born and raised in Kraków and studied horn there under Kazimierz Pamuła, then at the University of Music in Karlsruhe Germany under Will Sanders, and earned a DMA from the Kraków Academy of Music. He has participated in masterclasses under such masters as Radovan Vlatković, Stefan Dohr, and Peter Damm. His orchestra experience includes performances with the Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra, Kraków Radio Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Kraków Opera Orchestra, and Munich Bachsolisten.

A passionate educator, Kamionka teaches young horn players at the Rutkowski School of Music in Kraków, leads Horn Academy workshops at the Paderewski Centre, and organizes Polish editions of the International Hornweek. He is the author of the first Polish-language horn method book in nearly 70 years, The Horn Method: Studying with Fun (Polish National Edition, 2025), as well as several other books of horn exercises. Many of his students have gone on to have accomplished careers in Poland and abroad.

Kamionka has been invited to lead courses, workshops, and lectures in Poland and abroad (Germany, the Netherlands, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Georgia, Portugal, Italy, Thailand, Brazil, and the USA). In 2024, he led a masterclass at the International Horn Camp in Qingdao, China.

Kamionka was honored with the Punto Award in 2026.
