More than two decades as a professional hornist and teacher.
Teaching Experience
Adjunct Faculty/Horn Instructor at Mesa Community College; more than twenty years teaching private horn lessons to students of all ages and playing levels; clinics and masterclasses for Junior High, High School and University horn sections/studios; Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in horn performance from Arizona State University..
Playing Experience
Second Horn, Arizona Opera Orchestra since 2000; frequent guest with the Phoenix Symphony, Tucson Symphony, Santa Fe Symphony and New Mexico Philharmonic; founding hornist, Sonoran Brass Quintet; Hornist/Faculty Brass Coordinator with the AIMS Festival Orchestra in Graz, Austria (since 1997).
Performances with Nationally touring Broadway companies of Wicked, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Phantom of the Opera, The Producers, West Side Story, Sound of Music, Young Frankenstein, Peter Pan, My Fair Lady, South Pacific and dozens of others; also toured with Camelot, starring Lou Diamond Phillips.
Concert appearances include engagements with Barry Manilow, Michael Crawford, The Moody Blues, Johnny Mathis, Clay Aiken, Mannheim Steamroller, Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban.
Recording credits include R. Carlos Nakai’s Fourth World, which was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2002, "A Brassy Night at the Opera" featuring Sam Pilafian, Thomas Bacon and David Hickman and "Capitol Quartet: Anything Goes." Also featured in the Arizona Music Project, a multimedia recording and video experience produced by the Arizona Office of Tourism highlighting musicians from the state of Arizona as well as the Sonoran Brass Quintet's debut album, "Dry Heat."
