Other Details: For sale is a Yamaha 891ML triple (F/Bb/F alto) that was manufactured in 2007. It is unlacquered yellow brass with a detachable bell. This horn was originally owned and played by Bob (Robert) Carlisle from the NYC Ballet Orchestra. The included case, which is the original Yamaha case, even still has his name tag. I purchased the horn in 2013 from Steve Sherts.

The bell is unique, it is a standard Yamaha raw brass bell that was silver plated. This bell was owned and given to me by Jeff Lang, assistant principal in the Philadelphia Orchestra. The silver plating is worn down in one area from use.

The horn itself plays fantastic and does not have a major tone different between the high F side and the rest of the horn, giving it a smooth transition in the upper range. Tuning is even throughout the horn, and the low F side plays well.

There are a couple small dings that I took pictures of. There is one one small ding on the lead pipe, but it has never affected performance as far as I’ve noticed.
ADSMANAGER_EXTRAS: The horn also includes two tuning bits, the original case, and a Yamaha 32GP mouthpiece, which pairs especially well with this instrument.
