Go on any forum and you'll see a lot of talk about these horns. Dramatically undervalued, this is a great way to get a super professional quality instrument on a budget. This particular one is a very nice specimen. Valves are tight, levers are quiet and fast with new bumpers and string.

It's a great-playing and sounding horn. It plays with a lovely focused sound with lots of core, but without feeling too "slotty" or "locked-in." This is a desirable feature of some older instruments that allows the player a lot of ability to manipulate the pitch without losing tone quality. It also means it's a very flexible instrument, handing squirmy arpeggiated material better than any of my high-end geyer-style horns.

Some surface etching and minor pitting to be expected from age, but otherwise, the body is in excellent shape with a lot of life left.

Case does have a broken handle strap.
