Qualifications
I graduated in 2002 from UW-Milwaukee with a BFA in K-12 Instrumental Music Education with a minor in French Horn Performance. While there, I studied with William Barnewitz (1st Horn with the MSO at the time) and Greg Flint.
Teaching Experience
I have been teaching French Horn privately either from a store studio, school, my home, or student's home since 2002. In 2002, I had an internship as an assistant band director with Slinger Middle School (6-8 grade) and Slinger High School (9-12 grade). From 2002-2003, I was the band director for Oakfield Middle School (6-8 grades) and Oakfield High School (9-12 grades). From 2003-2005, I was the band director at St. Kilian School (5-8 grades) in Hartford. I currently teach lessons at White House of Music. My students regularly earn gold medals for their solo performances at WSMA Solo & Ensemble festivals and are accepted by MYSO, State Honors Band, and other organizations when they have auditioned. My students are leaders in their sections and their bands or orchestras.
Playing Experience
I have been a member of the Moraine Symphonic Band since 2003, the Lakeshore Symphonic Band (2004), and the Fond du Lac Symphonic Band (2002). I participated in the Horn Festival at UW-Whitewater in 2007.
