Job Description:

Assistantships for horn students at the University of Georgia for Fall 2012.  All assistantships come with a tuition waiver plus a stipend. Most assistantships have a stipend of approx. $9,000 for masters students and approx. $12,000 for doctoral students.  There is also an assistantship available for students who are especially musically and academically qualified that has a stipend of approx. $27,000.

Of particular interest to horn players is the Bulldog Brass Quintet assistantship, which will be open for Fall 2012.  The primary duties of this assistantship are to play in the graduate brass quintet, coached by David Bilger, visiting professor at UGA and principal trumpet of the Philadelphia Orchestra.  Details about auditions can be found at
