The 2025 Mid-South Horn Workshop will be held at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR, March 27-29. Hosts are Juli Buxbaum (julibuxbaum@gmail.com) and Heather Thayer (thayerh@hsu.edu)

Young musicians in grades 6–12 are invited to join Interlochen Arts Academy’s faculty and students for our Brass & Percussion Festival on Saturday, April 5. During these events, students will sit in on master classes with renowned guest artists, meet Arts Academy faculty, and watch incredible performances.

Families seeking convenient lodging to make the most of this experience are welcome to book a stay at our on-campus hotel, however virtual attendance options are available if you are not able to travel to campus.

The Arizona State University horn studio is pleased to host Aliyah Danielle for a horn day on Saturday, April 5. Aliyah will be featured in recital, there will be a master class, horn ensembles, and more. For more information on location and schedule contact John Ericson at ASU. 

Hosted by Professor Heather Test and the TCU Horn Studio, the TCU HornFest engages the horn player at every level by offering a High School Horn Solo Competition complete with comment sheets from Professor Test and current TCU horn students; a Participant Showcase Concert where horn ensembles of any age may perform for their friendly HornFest audience; an interactive session with the featured guest artist; a special break-out session for beginners and middle school students with an expert teacher; an exhibit hall full of accessories, new and used horns to test-play, and sheet music for purchase; a mass horn ensemble rehearsal and performance with our own TCU faculty and guest artist; in addition to providing the opportunity to hear a world-class recital given by the invited guest artists in the Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU!

For its 17th HornFest on Sunday, April 6, 2025 the TCU Horn Studio will feature Mark Houghton. Mark is a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Adjunct Professor of Horn at Duquesne University, and co-owner of Houghton Horns.

the 2025 Northwest Horn Symposium will take place April 25-27 at the Univertsity of Oregon, Leander Starr, host.
