Other Details: For your consideration is my Yamaha YHR 668VN French Horn.
This is the custom hand made nickel model of the ever popular 668, being indicated by the VN on the lead pipe, and the fancy valve caps pictured.
This horn is a very stable playing and rich sounding kruspe wrap horn. It has all the warmth of a traditional kruspe wrap horn, but the preciseness and reliability that you come to expect from a custom made Yamaha instrument.
The horn was purchased in 2019 from master repairman John Mason in Glendale, CA whom I also had cut the bell.
Valves are as tight as can be, and the rotors move like butter. It has some general signs of use, a dent here or there, but nothing that hinders the playability of the instrument.
