An ancestor of Herr Schmid's current "Golden Cut" Model, this is still a lightweight and flexible horn, but has a bit more heft than the newer horns coming out of the Schmid workshop. I personally prefer this as it gives the horn a bit more core and power and allows the player to "dig in" a bit more.
I think of this as a kind of "best of both worlds horn." Very acrobatic, but not likely to be drowned out in ensemble. The sound is warm and colorful. Freeblowing and easy to play from top to bottom.
Has some dings and signs of use, but is in overall in fantastic shape.
