Other Details: Although the bell is engraved “Abilene, Texas,” it was assembled in the former Olds plant in Fullerton, California in 1964 (after August), likely from some parts made in Cleveland. Made of gold brass with nickel silver slide tubes, it has a .468 bore, medium (.012) detachable bell, medium-large throat, and new lacquer, with a new Protec Propac case. With tightened rotors, new bumpers, and new strings, this chemically-cleaned professional instrument, in the tradition of the Pottag and Chambers models, is absolutely perfect.
