Other Details: Built by Walt in the 1980s for Bob Ward, played professionally by me since 1988, fully refurbished by Lawson Brass in 2008. This is a custom large-bore horn whose design evolved slightly in subsequent years into the Fourier model. Has a 2008-built F210.125 leadpipe, the pipe also used on early Fourier horns that responds well in both the low and high extremes of the range. Will be ultrasonically cleaned prior to shipping. An excellent example of Lawson craftsmanship, still in nearly-new condition.
Comes with a straight-annealed, unlacquered large ambronze bell. Pattern-annealed, lacquered bell (pictured) available for additional $1200.
