An innovative wrap that places the B-flat change valve behind the main valve cluster.
Among the many desirable qualities this allows for:
-A long-tapered leadpipe
-Superior weight balance
-Air flows past the valves through both sides of the horn in the same direction.

On this last point, there are a number of horn designs that have use different solutions to achieve the same goal, most famous among them the Merewether System of Paxman horns. Having played many of these other instruments, I wasn't completely convinced that the airflow factor made a noticeable difference to the way the instrument played. When I played this instrument, I changed my mind about that. This horn makes awkward changes between Bb and F horn incredibly easy and smooth. Try the opening to Rheingold on it. Just glides like butter.

The basic dimensions of the horn are very similar to that of the Alexander 103. It has a colorful sound that is darkened somewhat by the gold
