Other Details: For your consideration here is an original Knopf Model 16 that has been completely overhauled and was formerly owned / played by a member of the Städt Orchester Düsseldorf (City Orchestra of Düsseldorf). FAT basso low register and “silly easy” high range. Lightning quick valve action (valves were rebuilt last spring by Landress Brass in NYC). The horn’s lacquer is better than 90% with a few small blemishes here and there. Sold with a very compact Bags of Spain detachable bell case with room for a mute, an enormous music pocket & backpack straps. The horn comes with a Felix Cantasenu custom leadpipe already mounted and a terrific John Gough Elemental Brass leadpipe … you be the judge – each pipe offers a slightly different playing experience.
Extras: This horn competes easily with many high end custom horns and is being offered at a very attractive price. I am selling this horn because I have too many horns and this horn deserves a good home! Play tests available. Currently on display at Landress Brass in NYC.
