Other Details: This is a full F/Bb double horn originally purchased in 1972. I am its sole owner. In 1983 the instrument was sent to it's original designer, George McCracken for extensive modification. The instrument is modular; the lead pipe, valve section and tail section can be separated. The nickel silver lead pipe, tail section and bell were changed to yellow brass, resembling more the King Fidelio specifications. Alexander rings were installed on the bell. The linkages of the valves have been modified as well to make them more responsive. Water valves have been installed on the lead pipe and the third Bb crook. The instrument has its original case which is worn but fully functional. The valves have very good compression and require regular and frequent oiling. Two additional lead pipes are also included; the original King 1170 leadpipe in nickel silver and an additional yellow brass lead pipe crafted by McCracken. The instrument was last overhauled in 2006.
All additional inquires are welcome.
Extras: 2 extra lead pipes; the original King 1170 leadpipe in nickel silver and an additional McCracken lead pipe in yellow brass
