Other Details: This past year I got up the courage to start playing around with customizations, adding different leadpipes to some of my (too many) horns. I had heard great things about Andrew Lanes pipes on Paxman horns, so I decided to get this Paxman 25L outfitted with one. I was very happy with the results. Big improvement in slotting (the horn was a bit too "wiggly" before). Much more security up high and responsive down low. In general, I have to say I just like how the Lanstro pipe feels. I'm a big fan of the Paxman part of the design as well. The dual-bore of the 25L results in a horn that feels far more open on the low-F side, and makes it easier to play in that difficult break register that a lot of players struggle with. I'm particularly fond of the legato on this horn, which slurs incredibly smoothly and easily. Easy to get that beautiful smear on the notes.

This instrument is a real pleasure to play. Valves are in great shape. Lots of pop. There are a couple of minor dings in various places on the body. Noth
Extras: Clebsch strap
