Only small dimples remain here and there. The notes of this horn slot tightly and the valves show very little wear. The intonation is good and the sound is large and rich. Moennig makes great horns that were widely played by orchestras like the Staatskapelle Dresden and the soloist Peter Damm. The horn comes in a flat, suitcase style, detachable bell, hard case with room inside for mutes. The horn is in superb condition. The detachable bell ring has Alexander threads to facilitate the use of other bell flares with the Alexander standard rings. This horn has been played professionally in sections of both Kruspe and Geyer/Knopf style horns.
