Queston:

How do you develop a high range? I've read some interesting articles on 'how to', but some seem to conflict with the others. What good exercises help?

Dale Clevenger answers:

Without observing a specific player, it is nearly impossible to write words that will be of real help in addressing this technique. The good news is: it is possible to have a good or at least better high register. And, I have specific methods to that end, but I am not in favor of writing these down without observing the individual while teaching them. Often what is written is misunderstood or misused.
