City: Kennett Square
Serial Number: 001095
Alloy: Yellow Brass
Bell: Fixed
Lacquer: Unlacquered
Case: Included
Condition: Excellent
Other Details: Selling for a senior citizen friend who has given up playing (a sad day). The owner purchased it new and it has been played only in "low risk" venues such as church services by a serious amateur. This is a beautiful unlacquered 667V with a fixed bell. The pinky hook has been removed (but included with the horn) and replaced with a Clebsch strap. Otherwise, this horn is all original. I played this horn recently and I would describe it as having just the right amount of resistance with a beautiful warm tone - (not quite as bright sounding as some Geyer wraps.) It plays in-tune across the range, and has an easy high range. The horn has been serviced - all slides are perfect and valve compression is excellent. There are a few very small dings and fingernail-type scratches. Otherwise the horn is excellent. Two mouthpieces and original Yamaha case in excellent condition included.
