Other Details: I am selling my Paxman 41M descant horn in Bb/F alto. This horn is the pre-85 design and was in fact built in 1985 according to the serial number. The 41 is a variation of the desired model 40 with an extra detachable slide on the stopping valve that allows the horn to play in Eb alto when both the high F valve and stopping valve are used simultaneously. The horn has all mechanical linkage but is quite quiet. I am also including a low F extension. The valves were rebuilt by Dennis Houghton a couple of months ago and the horn is in excellent shape with amazing compression. I have played this horn professionally in both chamber music and large orchestra situations and the horn plays amazing and can easily project in a large orchestra. Pictures available upon request.
ADSMANAGER_EXTRAS: Low F extension
