I just googled "International Horn Society" and the search turned up our site with a comment that "This site may be compromised." There is a link that provides more info:

http://support.google.com/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&ei=r0oXT9jcGbPksQKv3r2xAg&answer=190597&?sa=X&ved=0CCYQpwgwAA

Google had falsely labeled my domain as compromised at one point; perhaps they've done the same here, but y'all probably want to check it out (if you haven't already).

Thanks for the heads up, Ron. Nothing to worry about; the site is clean, as I just confirmed with Google Webmaster Tools. What triggered the warning was in fact that the security software on this site detected a contact that may have been looking for a weakness on our server and redirected it to Google's home page.

Unfortunately, hacking and spamming attempts are rampant on the internet, and every site must have defense mechanisms in place to guard against them. Unfortunately, every once in a while those mechanisms generate false positives.

If anyone suspects the site has been compromised or sees something on the site that is suspicious, please contact me at manager@hornsociety.org asap to let me know.

I don't remember the specific cause of that message (it was 7 years ago!). Unfortunately, hacking attempts are still a daily occurence, and the site has been hardened significantly since that Google warning. To the best of my knowledge, the site has not been breached, despite an average of 10 attempts per day that are stopped by security software and I'm sure many, many more that never reach the site content because of firewall settings.

No financial or other sensitive personal information is stored on this site.
