Shortly after studies with Anton Horner at the Curtis Institute of Music, and Arcadi Yegudkin at the Eastman School of Music, Harold Meek became the principal horn of the Boston Symphony Orchestra for twenty years.

His publications include Basic Technical Studies, and reprints of lost, or out-of-print editions.

Harold Meek was the first Editor of The Horn Call.
