Appointments include: Radio Orchestra of Milan, Accademia di St. Cecilia Orchestra, and as solo horn with the Radiotelevisione Italiana. Beginning in 1951, he taught at the conservatories in Rome and Pesaro, and he regularly concertized until his seventy-second year.
A unique feature of most of his recordings; they were done "live," without any dubbing or splicing. Done in a less crude recording technique, The Art of Domenico Ceccarossi (RCA) is a excellent representation of his technical and musical prowess.
